8th Grade Class Speech 2021-2022
Hi my name is Brianna Smith. I have been at this school for eleven years, so I have basically spent most of my life here. It’s like a second home.
I have had so many experiences throughout the grades that I will never forget. One of my favorite memories being in kindergarten my teacher was Miss Pagliuso, one of my favorite teachers ever. One day all of the kids went to use the bathroom before snack time, except Andrew and me. I couldn’t open my applesauce so I asked Andrew to do it. He opened it, but I wasn’t able to eat any of it because it had splattered all over the walls and us. We were afraid Miss Pagliuso would be mad but she wasn’t at all. She just laughed and told us it was okay and we cleaned it up. To this day I have not been letting Andrew open any of my applesauce or yogurt. This is one of my favorite memories here.
My friends also played a big role in my favorite memories. Them just being themselves have made school a fun environment: Janay Bear has an attitude but that makes her so unique and I love her because of it. She has always been such an amazing friend. I’m going to miss you so much when we must leave. Alexis Wray is a very artistic person and is such a great friend not only to me but to every single kid in pre-k. She is very caring to those around her. David Vazquez is a very athletic person who loves sports. He can get quite competitive but that's what is fun about him. I hope you continue in the things you're good at and achieve your dreams. Simon Siebert is a very funny person who always has a joke for everything. Keep making other people laugh like you have made us. I’m going to miss you when no one else can tell a good joke like you can. Noah Curtis-Gray is a friendly giant according to the younger kids. He is such a good friend to everyone around him. Noah keep being nice to all those around you and you will get far. Andrew Landolphi is someone who came in my second year in pre-k and he is the last remaining of my classmates from then. Thanks for being such a great friend all these years. I’m going to miss all of you guys when we must part ways.
I love every teacher at this school. Each one is so different and that's what I like about them. Miss Pagliuso is one of the sweetest teachers I have ever met. She is very kind and caring for her students. If I could go back in time, I’d go back to when I was in your class. Mrs. Lamb is a generous, friendly teacher and I missed you so much when I had to leave your class. You prepared me well for fifth grade and I thank you. Sister Michele is so nice to all her students, always spoiling them and making sure they’re happy. I’m going to miss you when I leave this school. Mrs. Neidbala I want to thank you for all the religious education you have taught me, I would be lost in the dark without you showing me the light of Christ. Sister Loreto is an energetic and fun teacher. She always makes sure her class is never bored and finds a way to make class enjoyable. I hope the classes yet to meet you also have as much fun as I have in your class. Mrs. Glennon is an amazing teacher that is so easy to talk to and you always feel comfortable around. I really hope that you continue to bring joy to all the people around you like you did for me. Miss Gray is one of my favorite teachers, she always looks strict but she is one of the funniest and nicest teachers I have ever met. I have learned so much in language and literature and I think I’m going to miss her classes the most. Sister Patrick is a fantastic principal. Thank you for making this school so great. You have been here since I was in Pre-K but you will always be 29 years young. Father Tito, I would like to thank you for helping this school with everything. You are the main reason the school is standing so strong, thank you. You all have taught me so much throughout all of my years here, that I am happy to say that without you I wouldn’t be as happy and educated as I am today. I would also like to thank all of the teachers that I never had the opportunity to be in your class and the staff who have supported us throughout our time here at this school; you have all been an important part of our St Joseph School family. And lastly, I want to thank all of the parents for letting their kids get a great education here at this school. Without all of you, there is no Saint Joseph School.
Even in sad times at this school we all work together no matter what. When my sister, Amber, was in the hospital and going through a hard time, everyone at this school joined together like a family to help her, me, and my family. It helped so much and made her happy as well. The comfort and kindness that was shown here was enough to make anyone feel appreciated. We all prayed she would get better and it helped all of us get closer physically, mentally, and religiously. That is why I am very glad that I was introduced to a Catholic school. If I had not been, I know I wouldn’t be as happy as I am today knowing our Lord Jesus Christ is always with us showing us the way to eternal life. Thank you and have a blessed night.
